Sports

Our first year soccer team lost out to a strong St. Camins team on Thursday. It was a tightly contested game which finished 1-0 to the opposition.

After a intense game our U15 soccer team lost out to Crescent Comprehensive by a score line of 3-2.

Our U16 ½ hurlers unfortunately lost the County Semi Final to St. Pols Kilfinnane last Thursday. The game got off to a slow start for our team, putting us at a disadvantage from the get go.

The Cross Country running got under way on Wednesday the 6th of December. first year students competed in the competition in Thurles. Congratulations to all who participated, especially the boys team who placed 3rd overall.

Seinn

Some of our music students took part in Seinn in association with the Diocese of Cashel and Emly. This is a musical event where 13 secondary schools come together to form a choir of 613 students to perform in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles, Co. Tipperary with the help of a professional band and musical director Ian Callinan. The students learned and performed 20 songs. This was the finale of months of work within the school.

Retreats

During the week our 5th and 6th year students had their yearly retreat. The 5th year students had their retreat in the school, while the 6th years travelled away for the retreat. This is an important event in the year for the students and our school.

Information night

Our information night for incoming 6th years took place on Wednesday the 6th of December. This is an important night for both parents and students as it provides valuable information for 6th year. We would like to thank all the parents and students who came and hope any questions ye have were answered.
