The Leaving Certificate Programme aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge that will enable them to fulfill University and Third Level College requirements, as well as enhance their future employment prospects.
Currently, students study eight subjects in the Leaving Cert Curriculum. Students then go on to complete state examinations in seven of these subjects. Each Leaving Certificate student will study English, Gaeilge and Mathematics, as well as four other subjects of their choosing.
Students may choose from the following list of subjects;
- Home Economics
- Agricultural Science
- Design and Communication Graphics (DCG)
- Construction Studies
Students may also qualify for the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme. The LCVP course can be described as a Leaving Certificate with a strong vocational dimension. It gives students the opportunity to engage in self directed learning as well as exposure to innovation and enterprise.
